Air Defense Command Master of Air Defense

From Greg Ogletree: The actual name of this award was "Master of Air Defense." It was created in 1964 and considered "the apex of achievement for Air Defense Command personnel." The patch was never intended to be worn on the uniform. The award elements were presented personally by the ADC commander and consisted of a framed patch, a lapel pin, and an Air Force blue blazer with the ADC patch with a MASTER OF AIR DEFENSE rocker sewn under it. The governing directive for this award was ADCR 51-5.
